We lovingly nicknamed the dock system at my parents cabin “Pier 4” because of its layout. Actually it is more like a lowercase letter h but “Pier Lowercase h” doesn’t have the same nautical ring.
Pier 4 is home to a deck boat, an aluminum motor boat and a small sailboat. We use all of the boats but they require a grown up to commandeer. When a grown up isn’t available, there are a few other non-motorized craft to choose from: kayaks, canoes, rowboats, rafts and inner tubes. We also added a paddle board to the fleet this summer and are able to borrow a neighbor’s rowing skull from time to time. After all the boating activity from this summer I think we can update the name to…..
“Pier 4 and More”.
