I started this blog in April 2010 when my boys were just three and five years old as a way to capture memories. I wanted to look back and have more than just a photograph with a vague memory of that snapshot in time. I wanted to capture more dimension – the voice, the emotion and the sentiment. I wanted to roll all that up and preserve it to be reopened down the road.

I had no idea that writing down some memories would change me so deeply. Enthused by my new task, I started to view the events of the day differently. I started to see stories unfold where I used to see a normal mundane task. The chatter of things to do suddenly became a narrative of stories to write, a dialogue waiting to be typed out that night. This new lens made me happier. I stopped rushing and started observing and in that observation I found more dimension in my life.

I found my voice.

Thank you to all of you who have been with me on this journey and thank you for those of you who are joining in now. Just knowing you are out there on the receiving end keeps me motivated. Your readership and comments mean the world to me.
